Performance doesn't have to eat up the Four Square hokey pokey, double scoop budget. The Rockhopper Sport certainly serves up far more than it takes. Build highlights include Shimano hydraulic brakes, wide range gearing and lock-out fork suspension. All the more reason for errands, adventures with the kids, commutes, holidays ...by bike!
A quiet performer, the Rockhopper's butted, premium 'A1' aluminium frame provides an exemplary platform for the remainder of the bike to build upon. The top tube and down tube are hydro-formed to keep weight low and strength high. Standover height kept low for bikes of this nature and proportion. Slick internal cable routing and dropper-post compatibility round off this robust, well performing chassis.
Each frame sized is specifically combined with size-orientated components, notably wheel size for consistent ride experience regardless of size, for every rider. That too of the Suntour fork, offering size-specific spring rates and travel, while being able to be locked out. Regardless of your size, there's a Rockhopper for you with sweet-spot fitting and makes for the right tool for the job!
Shimano hydraulic disc brakes front and rear allow you to stop in an instant or smoothly deliver braking power under refined modulation.
The 2x9-speed MicroShift drivetrain provides a range of gearing for every terrain, every gradient. Crisp and reliable shifting for trouble-free days out on trail.
Modern wide 29" rims (25mm internal diameter) clear the way for running lower tyre pressures and increased traction. Holding great momentum, speed and their ability to roll over obstacles with ease, the 29er is serves riders incredibly well on trail, gravel and road.
