This newsletter emerges from the depths of a cold winter to celebrate the Tour de France, some special deals we have associated with that and some other mid winter specials we're offering.
Many we've talked to have been sheltering indoors rather than braving the elements, but the days are getting longer and various "must do" rides in all disciplines are coming up. Ritchie and Paul are available in the workshop to give your bike some TLC ready for the coming finer weather.
A highlight for Phil and his wife Linda has been the completion of their custom tandem. It's a very special bike, a mountain bike tandem with 29 inch wheels, allowing a 700C road wheel option, and couplings so it can be broken down for international travel. Le Tour de France
At the time of writing, the biggest event on the global cycling calendar, the Tour de France, is in full swing. With about a week and a half to go, Team Astana's Alberto Contador has hit the lead in the General Classification (overall leader on time). In second place is seven-time winner, Lance Armstrong, also of Team Astana.
