Hi all,

I’m the other Phil..the one that set up the website for Phil E and John. As they are busy today celebrating the opening of their great new shop, I thought I’d post a quick message in this section about events, to explain how to use this section of the forum...and also to provide you all with a handy tip.

First, you need to be a registered user of the forum to post items, so please go through the registration process.

Next, if you have an event to post, log in to the forum and then go to the “Calendar” tab at the top of this page and click on it. At the bottom of the page that appears, you should see a button that says “Post event”. Click on that.

On the page that then appears, give the event a name...that’s what will appear on the main Crank It Cycles page under the events listings. Select the date for the event and the number of days, then keep “Link Event to Post” ticked, select the type of event from the pop “Post in” menu (Shop, Ride or Race event) and then click the “Post” button.

The page will refresh and you can then give the event a more detailed subject and you can post a lot more info, attach documents (and spell check) before clicking post.

Handy tip
------------
Want to be notified when a new event gets added into one of the event sections (Shop, Ride or Race event)??

Easy...log in to the forum, click on the board (the forum area) that you want notifications from (note, this can be for any of the areas of the forum, not just Shop, Ride or Race events!) and go into that section.

See a “Notify” button?

Click it and say “OK” to the pop-up that appears and you’ll receive an email every time there’s a post added in that area...simple as that!

Don’t forget though...lots of other news and events happen on the main page of the site, so be sure to check that out also.

Enjoy your new shop and the new site guys!

Theres been a couple of requests on how to post pictures, so I thought Id give a quick tutorial.  If you still have questions, by all means, ask

Below the window you use to post the message is a Manage Attachments button. Click on this and a new window will open up allowing you to upload your files from your computer. The result will be the picture in a box like this one. When you click on the picture it will grow.

To keep this forum somewhat organized, only post actual vBookie events in this thread, I created 2 subforums for event requests and vbookie issues.
