Raboplus MTB Cup 2010

Tokoroa - Round #4. What an excellent fast track, something for everyone and the weather was fantastic. Jordan, Ethan, Takumi and Ross competed in the race with our boys switching places and Jordan (4th) coming in ahead of Ethan (7th) by around fifteen minutes. this is a complete turnaround from the horrible uphill climbers course in Nelson two weeks ago, with cold wet and miserable weather where Ethan smoked Jordan by 22 minutes. Ross managed a credible 11th out of 11 in Nelson, and 6th out of 6 at Tokoroa. Major movement up the leaderboard...!!!! Takumi had another crash in lap one and needed to rest for the remainder of the race. The Terpstra boys were there and had mixed showings (maybe the older on has found an attractive valley and has not been traveling the hills..??!!) along with Dominic and Mat Waghorn (freshly back from an excellent race in Oz).
When you next travel thru Tokoroa you must stop at Cougar Mountain and blat round the well made and signposted and maintained track. Congratulations to the club and it's members. We will definitely look forward to coming back. They even had fresh drinking water and hot showers there!!!!
We're off to Hamilton next week and it's very fast flat winding 10m elevation track.
