Thermo-fit shoes are ideal for people who have bunions or bumps on the base or side of their foot. The thermal fit takes away the pressure points making for a comfortable, numbness-free ride. Shimano's is a two-stage process whereby the sole and upper are moulded separately, and the upper is vacuum formed around the foot. This acheives a better fit and is less prone to error than other DYI (in a domestic oven) systems.
